I came with 2 friends on a Saturday night and were seated quickly. The interior design was aesthetic, clean, and had a great ambiance. The menu is meant to be family style with bigger portion dishes to share with people. We ordered: - Seafood pancake: crispy and paired well w the sauce - Bossam: this was my first time having bossam and it was so delicious. The meat was tender and the pickled vegetables mixed with the sauce was the perfect combination - Bulgogi mushroom jeongol: very homey and hit the spot. It came with a lot of bulgogi What I appreciated about the place was that all the food came out at the same time to enjoy! The customer service is top notch. They also gave plum juice and mochi as a dessert afterwards :) I'm already thinking about what I would want to order the next time I come back. Highly recommend this place!

Been seeing this place on tiktok and finally tried! The dishes were a bit on the pricier side and I was a little surprised by it. We got the spicy raw marinated crab, which was a really large portion and tasted great, but was a lot to go through. We loved the bossom, which came with a huge amount of pork and sides. We also got the seafood pancake, which was thick and tasty, definitely on the doughier side but still had a nice crisp. Solid korean spot and I would love to try the set rice meals

Came here with my dad last night and we were so surprised by how traditional the food was! By traditional I mean this is like old school Korean food, and it's delicious. My dad immediately was pleasantly surprised by the interior with the gigantic tubs of kimchi and the cute mini hanboks. The menu was really simple, nothing too crazy, but the barley rice set was really nicely organized and delicious. This is a kind of meal that you can't even find much around LA Ktown anymore, so it was really nice to see something like this in the bay! Pro tip: ask for sesame oil and gochujang on the side! makes the bibimbap more delicious! The service was also excellent, food came out at a good pace and we weren't rushed to finish our food or anything.

I came to Damso a few weeks ago and got seated pretty quickly on a Friday evening. I split beef tartare, seafood pancake, bossam, LA galbi and pumpkin soup with 3 friends. The food came out pretty quickly and had pretty generous portions. We got tea at the end to help with digestion (I'm forgetting the name of it), which was a nice touch. It can be expensive but food is definitely worth the price. Parking can be a little hard to find since Damso shares the parking lot with a few other businesses but it's still manageable.

Came through when the restaurant was still relatively new with a friend who enjoys raw marinated crab and to try the barley rice set meal. For an early Friday evening we were able to get seated right away which was quite lucky given the restaurant got fuller as the night went on. We definitely ate with our eyes because we could not finish the barley rice set. The amount of side dishes that came with the meal covered both the tables we sat at and left just enough space for the soy marinated raw crab. I definitely felt very healthy eating the barley rice set and it was a nice change up to the banchans I'm typically used to eating at restaurants. Our marinated crabs had roe in them which was such a pleasant surprise! At the end of the meal we had to opt for takeout boxes for all the side dishes, but works great for a quick leftover meal when mixed with rice.

I visited Damso during a weekend and it was a good experience. We were a party of 5 and they don't take reservations so we came early and got seated fairly quickly. They also have a parking lot so no need to worry about not finding a spot. This isn't your usual Korean bbq restaurant where you grill meet but they have lots of delicious options for you to choose from. I believe their marinated crab is what they are known for but unfortunately didn't have the chance to try it as I was pregnant when I went so I'll definitely need to come back. We got the seafood pancake, beef ribs, beef tartar, signature bossam and Budae Jjigae! Everything was solid and the flavors were good. It is a bit on the expensive end the f Korean food but it was delicious !

Wow!! Was blown away by this spot for their hospitality and food!! No wait on a Wednesday at 5:30PM. We ordered 4 dishes (the bossam, seafood pancake, kalbi, and their seafood soup for 6 people and we had tons of leftovers. All of the portions are family sized and 2/3 people could share one portion depending on how hungry you are. Seafood pancake was crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside which made it one of my favorite dishes since I'm big on texture. Bossom was a hit, the pork was fresh and good. Service was a bit slow because it seemed like a lot of the staff was still learning/training but since they're still in the process of opening (I think?) I'll give them a pass. Even though service was a little slow, the hospitality of the lady who was helping the trainee was exceptional! She helped cut up our pieces of meat and explained how to eat everything when she noticed we weren't using the appropriate sauces/side dishes. She even looked up specific ingredient translations for us while we were enjoying our meal. Great food and hospitality at Damso, I think it's my favorite Korean spot in the Bay now!

Arrived on Sunday 1130am so it's pretty empty at the time, we tried to avoid the wait and our strategy works. Got seated fast and love their interior decor, modern and clean, yet preserved the Korean vibe. We ordered: spicy marinated raw crab, their house special pig feet (can't remember what its name on the menu) and the bugolgi mushroom hotpot. All are very tasty! The flavors are perfect, not too salty nor overwhelmingly spicy. Staff is very friendly and promptly accommodating our request (extra utensil, to go boxes, etc) Will come back again!

Met up with friends for dinner at this fairly new restaurant. I made called in to make reservations in the same day. We were seated in the back room. It is a very spacious place! Very nicely decorated. Very attentive service. We ordered: Barley rice set menus (required to order at least 2 sets): $70 total - looks beautiful! It's basically a bunch of banchans, soups, fried fish, and barley rice. The banchans were all pretty tasty. I liked all the soups. The fish was ok and rice a bit dry. Good to get to share with a big group. We were 4 adults and 3 kids. Only the adults ate this and we finished most of it. Bossam: $60 this was a bit bland. Seasoned soy marinated raw crab: $88 my friend loved this. She said it's much better here than anywhere she has tried nearby. Beef short ribs: $38 this was ok as well. Kids liked it. Grilled croaker: $35 this was very tasty, nicely fried and a salted. Magkeolli: $16 interesting... Complimentary Apple juice. The wait staff were super nice and gave the kids seaweed and toys. This is a good place to celebrate a special occasion.
